Pre-employment, random, for-cause, post accident
UHS Occupational Medicine performs urine collections for substance use testing and breath alcohol testing in Express Care, Suite 204 of the Summit Building, 33 Mitchell Avenue, Binghamton, New York 13903 and at 54 E Main Street, Norwich NY 13815. Collections may also be performed at the employer’s site with prior arrangement.
Photo identification (ID) must be presented at the time of testing and/or collection. Business Direct staff follow the federal guidelines for urine drug collections, including the split specimen technique on all collections. The consents and procedure are available on request.
Results will be delivered to the Company’s designated representative who has been authorized by the Company in writing to receive the such results. Each urine specimen will be tested for the presence of drugs or substances specified by the Company (DOT or Non-DOT as described below). Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry (GS/MS) Confirmation will be provided for any or all presumptive positive result(s).

All urine drug screens include the cost of Medical Review Officer Services. Testing procedures include extra processes to identify the use of adulterants.
