Kay Boland honored with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award

UHS continues to recognize the care and compassion of our extraordinary nursing leaders with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Kay Boland, RN, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, was named the latest recipient of this award! Kay was presented with the award at a surprise celebration attended by many colleagues and friends she’s made over her years at UHS.

Congratulations to Aiyana Juhase, our latest Sunshine Award recipient!

A program to recognize the extraordinary care and contributions of our non-licensed nursing support staff continues at UHS with Aiyana Juhase, Main Tower 5, UHS Wilson Medical Center, who was named the latest winner of the Sunshine Award! Aiyana received the Sunshine Award, along with a bouquet of sunflowers in recognition of her accomplishments, and enjoyed cookies during the celebration.

Empty Bowls event raises over $9,000 to support hunger relief

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2026 Empty Bowl Events and showed their support for hunger relief in our area. 399 lunches were sold during the two days and we raised $9,995. This in our highest attended Empty Bowls yet!
