UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month with Lobby Display
May 22, 2025
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital recently featured a special display in its main lobby aimed at supporting mental well-being for both staff and visitors.
The display included calming visuals, messages of encouragement, and free mental health resources. Designed to raise awareness and reduce stigma, the effort reinforced the hospital’s commitment to treating mental health with the same importance as physical health.
The project was a collaborative effort, organized by a dedicated group of staff from multiple departments across CMH. Pictured at the most recent display table were Melody Girgenti, Training & Development Coordinator; Kim McCarthy, Director of Social Services; and Patience Neidig, Sidney Primary Care & Pediatrics Care Coordinator.
The hospital encouraged employees and visitors throughout May to engage with the display, reflect on their mental health, and take advantage of the resources provided.
UHS Chenango Memorial remains dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for mental health year-round.
