UHS Cares
As the region’s leading integrated healthcare system, UHS is proud to be locally owned, operated, and deeply rooted in the communities we serve. For generations, we have remained committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that is accessible and close to home for the individuals and families who rely on us.
At UHS, caring for our community extends far beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics. Through initiatives that support education, address food insecurity, and strengthen partnerships with local organizations, we are dedicated to improving overall health and well-being. UHS Cares highlights the many ways we give back—showcasing our ongoing efforts to support and uplift the communities we call home.
Team UHS cleans up UHS campuses for Day of Action
Team UHS rolled up their sleeves to beautify UHS campuses for the 2nd annual UHS Day of Action.
Teams got an early start to beat the heat, which allowed for a productive and impactful morning of action.
UHS employees volunteered across the System to plant flowers, pick weeds, paint curbs and other areas, clean up the parking lots and clean out other debris to spruce up our facilities and create a best-in-class first impression and experience at UHS.
We're thankful for everyone on Team UHS who participated.
UHS hits the ground running at the 2026 YMCA Corporate Challenge
Fueled by energy, teamwork, and a passion for wellness, Team UHS turned out in full force at the YMCA Corporate Challenge annual fundraiser, with over 70 employees coming together to compete, cheer each other on, and represent UHS with pride.
Team UHS participated in both the 5K race and the timed mile with plenty of energy and team spirit! While the weather had other plans and washed out the executive mile and 3-mile relay, it definitely didn’t dampen our enthusiasm.
A special thank you goes to UHS Sports Medicine for providing essential athletic training services throughout the event, ensuring that all participants were supported and safe.

The UHS Feed the Need Giving Garden is up and running
What began as an idea grounded in compassion is now firmly planted at the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus. Behind 41 Arch Street, the UHS Feed the Need Giving Garden has officially become a reality—an exciting new chapter in UHS’ commitment to addressing food insecurity in our community.
A multidisciplinary group of UHS team members came together in partnership with VINES to bring this vision to life. Together, they built ten raised garden beds, including two that are fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring that the space is welcoming and inclusive for all who want to participate. The collaboration reflected the very spirit of the garden itself: teamwork, shared purpose, and a belief that meaningful change happens when we work side by side.
