The Center for Advanced Wound Care, based in Binghamton, NY, provides cutting-edge, personalized treatments for a variety of non-healing wounds, including:

Treatment with the latest technology

We use the latest technology to help speed your wound’s recovery, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).

While receiving treatment, you can expect:

Treatment with a personal touch

We provide proven, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs, resulting in quicker, more complete healing. We take a multidisciplinary approach to your treatment, using UHS’s vast resources including Diabetes Education, Home Health Care, Physical Therapy, Nutritional Guidance and many others.

Treatment in privacy

Your wound care treatments will be conducted in an individual chamber, ensuring your privacy and comfort. A trained technician is with you throughout your session to ensure your safety and comfort while you heal.

Treatment at home

To aid in your wound care at home, we provide education in nutrition, diabetes, wound care, skin care and prevention techniques in avoiding and managing sensitive areas. We also give guidance in specialized therapies such as home health care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and orthotics.

Getting treatment

If you have a wound that won’t heal, ask your physician how UHS’s Center for Advanced Wound Care can help you. We accept most insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid. We provide convenient outpatient care, though inpatient care is available if needed.

  • UHS Foundation awarded $15,000 for “Reach Out and Read” Program
    April 16, 2024

    A UHS program encouraging the habit of reading at an early age received $15,000 in support from the Upstate Foundation. With the "Reach out and Read" Program, patients are given a book at each well visit with their UHS pediatrician, starting at six months of age, in an effort to promote literacy and enhance their development.
