September is National Suicide Prevention Month. All month, mental health advocates, healthcare and prevention organizations, survivors, allies and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness.

Get up and get moving with Team UHS this weekend and support Broome Oncology and Sock Out Cancer at the Sock Out Cancer 5k Run & Walk happening Sunday, September 11 at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. The race starts at 10am.

Groups of UHS employees volunteered for the 2022 Day of Caring on September 9 at charity venues across the Southern Tier, rolling up their sleeves to support the annual activity organized by United Way of Broome County.

The start of a new school year is a very exciting time for children.  It can also be an anxious time for some children whose families do not have the means to provide the necessary supplies needed to get things started off on the right foot. 

On Saturday, September 17, beginning at 7 a.m., Park Place on the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus, will be closed to thru-traffic in both directions.
