Team UHS attends Broome Oncology's Sock Out Cancer 5k

Team UHS came out this past Sunday to support Broome Oncology's Sock Out Cancer 5k at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton!

UHS was the Flagship Sponsor at the event and over 300 runners and walkers participated to help raise funding to support local cancer patients and their families with non-medical needs like transportation, utilities and housing.

Team UHS participated in the 5k and also had a table full of giveaways and information on UHS services for the community.

Proceeds from the event go to Sock Out Cancer and get divided up between the local hospital foundations and new this year, Mercy House. Since its inception, Sock Out Cancer, through the UHS Foundation, has financially assisted over 540 UHS cancer patients. Thanks to special events like this, The UHS Foundation can continue to provide support to those UHS cares for.
