Hospital Pharmacy

Don’t make an extra stop on your way home! Have your prescription filled at one of our retail pharmacies in Johnson City and Binghamton or clinic locations at Vestal and Endicott. There is also the Delaware Valley Hospital Community Pharmacy in Walton, NY as well. 

We know that the last thing you want to do is stop somewhere else on your way home. The on-site retail pharmacies at our hospitals and medical centers make it quick and convenient to fill your prescriptions, taking most or all insurance plans.

We offer all pre-op and post-op medications prescribed by your provider at UHS Pharmacy Johnson City, located at 345 Main Street, across the street from the future UHS Wilson Main Tower, and at the UHS Binghamton General Hospital Retail Pharmacy, located across the street from the hospital at 33 Mitchell Avenue, Binghamton Summit Building. 

Our Southern Tier, NY hospital pharmacies are staffed by friendly, knowledgeable people who are here to serve you. We have five locations: Binghamton, Endicott, Vestal, Johnson City, and the Community Pharmacy at Delaware Valley Hospital. Ask your provider about our services.

Opioid Overdose Prevention Training and Linkage to Naloxone (Narcan®)

The UHS Addiction Medicine Department offers overdose prevention training and linkage to naloxone (Narcan®) over the phone, to anyone in the public.  To access this free service, please call (607) 762-2622, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Getting Naloxone (Narcan®) at Your Local Pharmacy

Report Your Naloxone (Narcan®) Use

When you use naloxone (Narcan®) to reverse an overdose, please let us know by calling (607) 762-2622 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.  We will help you get more naloxone (Narcan®) and connect you with local resources, if you need them.  If you are more comfortable, you can also report your naloxone (Narcan®) use anonymously on our website. Thank you for saving lives in our community.

What Should I do if I Think I Have a Problem with Substances (an Addiction)?

The UHS Addiction Medicine Department is pleased to offer open access for substance use disorder assessments and linkage to our treatment programs.  Please call (607) 762-3288 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 

The UHS Addiction Medicine Department treats all substance use disorders (opioid, alcohol, methamphetamine, nicotine, etc.) and offers inpatient and outpatient services as well as medication for opioid use disorder with Suboxone® (buprenorphine/naloxone) and methadone.

  • UHS Foundation awarded $15,000 for “Reach Out and Read” Program
    April 16, 2024

    A UHS program encouraging the habit of reading at an early age received $15,000 in support from the Upstate Foundation. With the "Reach out and Read" Program, patients are given a book at each well visit with their UHS pediatrician, starting at six months of age, in an effort to promote literacy and enhance their development.
