Tower produces big Wows! as staff take tours

Incredible! Blown away!

That’s what a lot of Team UHS members are saying as they go on walk-throughs of our new hospital in Johnson City.

Employees are buzzing with amazement and excitement as they tour the UHS Wilson Main Tower.

Orientation to the new building, which includes guided tours, kicked off April 8.

With preview events just around the corner, employees this month have been able to familiarize themselves with the six-story, state-of-the-art expansion on the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus.

As many as 500 employees went on walk-throughs of the new facility this past week, leaving with a new desire to get in and get working in the unprecedented environment. 

You could feel the excitement from those on the tour as they looked over the spaces and the opportunities to bring a new level of healing to emergency, trauma and inpatient care. 

Tours focused on the first few floors of the tower, with guides showing off the reception area, patient rooms, the Emergency Department & Trauma Center, and other workspaces—which folks can’t wait to occupy!
