Rainy weather couldn’t dampen Team UHS’s spirit as staff members came together for this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton on Sunday, October 11.
Dressed in their best pink attire, Team UHS braved the rain to show their support for breast cancer survivors, loved ones and all those impacted by the disease. Employees gathered for a team photo before heading out for the walk, proving that a little rain was no match for a great cause.
UHS employees also staffed a tent at the event, helping support fundraising efforts through the always-popular basket raffle.
Presented by the American Cancer Society, the annual Southern Tier regional walk raises money and promotes public awareness in the battle against breast disease.
Breast cancer has touched countless lives, whether through a personal diagnosis or the experience of a family member, friend or colleague. Events like Making Strides offer a meaningful opportunity to unite our community and support one another in the fight against breast cancer.
Thank you to everyone from Team UHS who endured the rainy weather and showed up in support of this important cause!
