Thank you for extraordinary storm commitment

The UHS service area is currently in the midst of a winter storm. By the time this storm moves out of the area during the evening hours of Friday, February 7, approximately 6” to 8” of snow is expected to have fallen on Broome and Tioga Counties, with up to 12” falling in Chenango County. At the current time, employees are being reminded that;

  • All UHS facilities, including the Walk-Ins, remain open with normal schedules and operations.

  • Employees are urged to preplan and allow for additional travel time to ensure their safety.
  • Clinical staff should contact the Nursing Supervisor at their assigned site in the event that they are unable to make it to work.
  • Ancillary and Support staff should contact their Leadership team in the event they are unable to make it to work.
  • Managers and Supervisors are asked to review and revise staffing and on-call schedules for their departments to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are available.
