UHS honors our Certified Nurses on March 19, National Certified Nurses Day

Certified Nurses Day honors nurses who become certified and help contribute to better patient outcomes through national board-certification in their specialty. Certification affirms advanced knowledge, skills and excellence as you meet the challenges of modern nursing.

Every March, employers, certification boards, education facilities and healthcare providers celebrate nurses who earn and maintain the highest credentials in their specialty. Inspired by Margretta “Gretta” Madden Styles, RN, EdD, FAAN, a pioneer in nursing certification, Certified Nurses Day is the perfect opportunity to invite all nurses to advance their career by choosing certification. Certification is encouraged and recognized nationally. Currently there are over 135 certified nurses at UHS.
