Solar Eclipse 2024: View the path to totality

April 02, 2024

As we gear up for the upcoming total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with the timeline to catch every magical moment.

In the Greater Binghamton area, officials say the eclipse will kick off at 2:08 pm, paving the way for a stunning journey into near totality, which will conclude at 4:34 pm, making it visible for over two hours. At no point will Binghamton hit totality.

The path to near totality will enter in the southwestern part of New York just after 3:15 p.m. and will depart northern New York just before 3:30 p.m.  It should be visible over Binghamton at max or closest to totality around 3:23pm.
