    UHS is excited to partner with the Dick's Sporting Good Open for Family Fun Night on July 3.

    Family night is FREE to the public, all are welcome! The event, happening on the 18th Fairway will include:

    • Movie on the Jumbotron ( The Sandlot-8:00pm) Concession prices thrown back to 1971 for the night! (Everything but alcohol is $1!)
    • The BIGGEST fireworks show Broome County has EVER SEEN! (9:40 pm)

    The gates open at 7:30 pm, and it's all free! Spectators are welcome to bring blankets or chairs for the movie, and there is no registration required, the gates will be open for entry!

    Family Fun Night at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open

    Mark your calendar for an evening of excitement on Saturday, Aug. 20, when UHS and the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open bring you Family Fun Night at the En-Joie Golf Club, 722 W. Main St., Endicott.

    During Family Fun Night, a showing of the popular animated film “Sing 2” will start at 8 p.m., followed right after by a fireworks display.  The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. 

    Watching Saturday’s round of golf also is free for all spectators, so the gates will be open all day.  

    The first 1,000 UHS employees to show their badges at a specified table at the front gate after 6 p.m. will receive a $5 food voucher redeemable at the concession stands at En-Joie. 

    And remember the UHS Golf Expo with Bernhard Langer, Featuring Fitness, Nutrition and Virtual Health, to be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at En-Joie.

    UHS Heart & Vascular in partnership with Zoll will be hosting a free CPR and AED Community Education & Demonstration event on Thursday, February  8 from 2- 4:30pm in the lobby of UHS Vestal (4417 Vestal Parkway E, Vestal).

    Cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death worldwide. Learn more about the importance of CPR and AED Training and how these initiatives can save lives. Stop by to watch and learn from our experts from UHS and vendor, Zoll.

    UHS Cardiology Fellow Farid Khan, MD will also give a brief presentation at 4 pm.

    Join UHS for a Free Interactive Stroke Awareness & Education Event for community members on May 1, 2024 from 10am - 1pm at UHS Vestal (4417 Vestal Parkway, Vestal, NY)

    As we kick off May, which is National Stroke Awareness Month, you can stop by to learn more from our stroke experts on:

    • General stroke information,  including warning signs,  risk factors
    • How to be proactive with  blood pressure checks and  File of Life cards
    • How to reduce your risk with  nutrition – beverages and snacks
    • How to be more familiar with  procedure and preventative treatment options
    • How to recover – try out  some rehab equipment

    This one-night class offers an overview of the essentials of newborn care including bathing, diapering, breastfeeding, circumcision, cord care and more. Opportunities to practice baby care skills are provided. Strategies for helping baby sleep through the night, understanding infant crying and developing comfort skills will be covered. We will have an overview of infant nutrition and discuss the benefits of breastfeeding, breast pumps, storage of breast milk and proper care of bottle and accessories. General well-child care and recognizing signs of illness will also be discussed.

    • Registration for this class can be done by website submission only.
    • Attendees are welcome to bring one guest to this class.

    This class is held inside the Wilson Place building, located at 52 Harrison Street, Johnson City, NY. Class is located in the conference room across the hall from the Wilson Place Pharmacy.
