Children who were cared for in the UHS Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) from 2017-present are invited to attend our NICU Reunion. The event will reunite parents and children with the nurses and other caregivers who provided special care for them after their birth. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

'Understanding Substance Use and Overdose Prevention' training'Understanding Substance Use and Overdose Prevention' training
UHS is pleased to present an educational opportunity for Maternal/Child Staff and Providers in our community.
Join members of the NYSDOH Project COPE team on March 21 at the Lewis Road Lecture Hall in exploring the science of substance use and substance use disorders. Included in the presentation will be the basics of overdose prevention and naloxone use, and concrete ways professionals outside of the substance use disorder treatment system can help prevent overdoses amount the individuals and families they serve.
Training Objectives:
- Increase awareness of overdose rates and risk factors
- Gain the skills to discuss substance use, risk factors, harm reduction, and overdose prevention
- Challenge existing bias and stigmatizing language
- Train each attendee in recognizing and responding to an overdose
- Receive an overdose prevention kit and information on how to access more for your agency and those receiving services

2022 Sock Out Cancer Concert2022 Sock Out Cancer ConcertFee$35.00
Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Broome County Forum Theatre, Sock Out Cancer will be hosting its 5th annual benefit concert starting at 8pm. The concert will showcase the music of Boston and Journey, with former lead singers, Fran Cosmo of Boston and Steve Augeri of Journey joining the stage!

At the UHS Foundation, we know the need is great. Since its inception, Sock Out Cancer funding has helped over 400 UHS cancer patients and their families. Sock Out Cancer funding helps patients with increased travel costs, day-to-day expenses like food and utilities or even rent and/or housing payments. Sock Out Cancer allows patients to concentrate on their health, instead of worrying about how they will make ends meet.

2022 Southern Tier Heart Walk2022 Southern Tier Heart Walk
The 2022 Southern Tier Heart Walk is schedule for April 10, 2022 at Otsiningo Park. It is in person this year and scheduled to take place between 8am-12pm.
The opening ceremony is at 9:00 AM. People can start walking anytime after the opening ceremony concludes. There is no set start time for the walk. The last round of walkers is expected to start at 11:00 AM with the event wrapping up around 12:00 PM.

The 2024 Southern Tier Heart Walk is schedule for Sunday, April 28, 2023 at Binghamton University. It is in person and scheduled to being around 8am with registration.
The main program starts at 9am with the walk kicking off at 9:30am.

Highly respected leaders in the field of emergency medical care will be the speakers UHS' 32nd Patrick E. O’Hara, M.D.EMS/Emergency Medicine/Trauma Teaching Day this April in Greater Binghamton.
The one-day conference, designed for physicians, paramedics, emergency medical technicians and other first responders and clinicians, will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, April 1, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in downtown Binghamton.
The conference has been popular with the emergency medical community for three decades, drawing thousands of participants over the years.
The seminar’s namesake, Dr. O’Hara, was one of the founders of emergency medical care at UHS.
