FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 2, 2019

(VESTAL, NY) - The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open along with UHS and Dr. Bai Lee are thrilled to announce that the Honorary Host for the 2019 UHS Golf Expo will be World Golf Hall of Fame Member Jack Nicklaus. The event will be held on Wednesday August 14th at En-Joie Golf Course as a part of DICK’S Sporting Goods Open week.

This will be the 18-time Major Champion’s first visit to Endicott.
Rather than a traditional “golf clinic”, Nicklaus will share stories of his legendary career with the crowd. “Stories with Jack” will be emceed by SiriusXM Radio’s Dave Marr. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the 6-time Masters Champion.

UHS will have health specialists on hand to answer your questions beginning at 5:00PM, prior to Mr. Nicklaus’ presentation. UHS will hold an exhibition of health information under the event hospitality tent. Physicians, nurses and allied healthcare professionals will staff tables featuring the latest information on a wide range of health, fitness and nutrition topics. Clinical experts will answer attendees’ questions in such medical specialties as urology, orthopedics and primary care.

"I am thrilled with today's announcement," said Tournament Director John Karedes. "We are excited to further enhance DICK'S Sporting Goods Open week through our partnership with UHS and the 7th Annual Golf Expo." added Karedes. "To be able to see arguably the world's greatest golfer is a bucket-list item for most; to have him join us right here in Endicott is VERY special! Mark Wednesday August 14th on your calendar!"

"We are so honored to have Mr. Nicklaus join us in Endicott on August 14th. Not only is he regarded as the greatest golfer of all time, but he is also a role model for lifelong physical fitness and a tireless philanthropist in the cause of better health for children and youth,” said President and CEO of United Health Services, John Carrigg.

Guests are encouraged to wear yellow to support Jack’s #PlayYellow initiative. “Play Yellow for Children’s Hospitals” strives to bring the entire golf world together to help the 10 million kids treated at local children’s hospitals each year. Admission to “Stories with Jack” is free, but a $5 donation at the gate is suggested to benefit the Nicklaus Childrens’ Health Care Foundation. The 7th annual UHS Expo will be held on Wednesday August 14th at 5:00pm at En-Joie Golf Course.
