UHS Senior Living at Ideal has achieved a prestigious five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), earning top marks in staffing, quality measures, and overall performance through the agency's Care Compare Five-Star Rating System.
Administrator James Shadduck praised the achievement, noting that the recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire team. He highlighted the facility's successful recruitment efforts, which have strengthened staffing levels and contributed to higher quality scores.

Located on High Avenue in Endicott, UHS Ideal is a full-service senior living campus, featuring a 130-bed skilled nursing facility, 28 private short-term rehabilitation rooms, 35 assisted living beds, 35 adult care and independent living apartments. The campus expanded services with the addition of outpatient therapy in 2025. The facility serves approximately 35 to 45 admissions and discharges each month, helping residents successfully return to their communities following rehabilitation.
The CMS Five-Star Rating System helps consumers and families compare nursing homes nationwide, making UHS Ideal's achievement a significant distinction among senior care providers.
