August 12, 2025
UHS EMS has had a busy and productive few weeks, providing critical EMS support at two major community events: Spiedie Fest and the Tioga County Fair.
During Spiedie Fest, which ran August 2 & 3, UHS EMS deployed 6 EMTs and paramedics to assist Broome County Emergency Services with EMS coverage. Our team responded to a total of 8 calls for service over the two-day event, ensuring timely care for attendees in need.
During the Tioga County Fair, which ran from August 5 - 9, UHS EMS served as the primary on-site EMS provider for the Fair. A team of 3 EMTs and paramedics was present daily, responding to 6 calls for service, in addition to assisting the local ambulance service with the transport of a critical patient that required an additional medic.
Our EMS team also provided standby coverage for several high-risk events, including the rodeo, demolition derby, tractor pulls, and the 4-H auction, ensuring a safe environment for participants and spectators alike.
UHS EMS remains committed to supporting our community with professional, responsive, and compassionate emergency medical services at public events.
