Elyse Wilbur, MS, ATC, CES, OTC has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2004 and graduated from the University of Buffalo in 2005 with a dual BS/MS degree in Exercise Science. While finishing up her degree she worked for approximately 1 year with the UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute splitting time between the physical therapy clinic and outreach to four Buffalo City schools. In the fall of 2005 she was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at Binghamton University where she worked 11 years with a variety of division I teams to including volleyball, wrestling, swimming and diving, baseball, women's soccer, men and women's lacrosse, cross country and track and field. In addition to providing comprehensive health care for the student athletes she also helped to develop and run numerous successful programs including an ACL prevention program and a Disordered Eating Protocol. She served as a department representative on the disordered eating committee that was campus wide. She supervised and mentored newly graduated certified intern athletic trainers and the sports medicine intern program of approximately 15 students each semester that were interested in a future in the medical field.

Since joining our program in 2016 she has worked as a physician extender with Dr. Lissy and Samantha Vovos, PA-C. She was the first on staff to become a Certified Orthopedic Technician and assists with both casting application and removal in the office. She is part of the administrators of the Sports Medicine hotline which helps facilitate athlete appointments with our sports medicine providers. Clinical interests are casting/bracing as well as assisting in the OR in the near future.
