Courtney Ellis-Jamison, FNP-C

Biography

Courtney Ellis-Jamison, FNP-C graduated from Whitney Point High School in 2005. She went to Elmira College for her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. While at Elmira College, she played four years of varsity field hockey as well as various other recreational sports such as intramural volleyball, basketball and softball. She then worked for four years at the UHS Binghamton General Emergency Department while obtaining her master’s degree from Binghamton University in 2013.

After graduation she worked for Asthma & Allergy Associates P.C. for four years, working with patients of all ages including children, teens, and adults. In an allergy setting there is often a strong familial component so she would often treat several generations. She also enjoyed providing personal education to her patients about the use of their medications including but not limited to asthma inhalers and epinephrine auto injectors.

Since joining UHS in October 2017, she has been working in the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department. She regularly travels to local school districts to perform state mandated physical exams for grades K through 12. In addition to the state mandated physicals, she helps with interscholastic sports physicals at local middle and high schools. As part of the UHS Sports Medicine team and Concussion Center, Courtney helps evaluate and manage both athletes and non-athletes with mild traumatic brain injuries.
