About the Project

Enhancing Care in Chenango County

The UHS Chenango Memorial Medical Neighborhood Project represents a major step forward in expanding access to high‑quality, patient-centered care for our region. The initiative is revitalizing our local healthcare facility to enhance safety, comfort, and energy efficiency for every patient who walks through our doors.

Inside our Norwich, NY hospital, significant advancements are already making a difference. The installation of a new, state-of-the-art CT scanner has expanded our diagnostic imaging capabilities, including the addition of cardiac CT imaging and a new diagnostic women's imaging suite. This cutting-edge technology delivers clearer images, faster results, and greater accessibility at our medical center serving the Norwich area, helping more patients receive advanced diagnostics close to home.

More improvements continue throughout our medical center campus in Norwich. This spring, work will be completed on an ADA-compliant, ground-level entrance on Broad Street, a new parking lot with additional handicapped-accessible spaces, and an expanded orthopedic unit designed to better meet the needs of our growing patient community.

Together, these enhancements reflect UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital’s unwavering commitment to improving access, comfort, and care—today and for years to come.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
