On the morning of Monday, December 15, UHS held a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the expanded UHS Upper Front Street location. The event saw a great turnout, celebrating an exciting new chapter for care in our community.
The renovated facility, located at 1290 Upper Front Street in Binghamton, brings a number of UHS services together under one roof, with UHS Primary Care, UHS Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation, and UHS Lab Services now open to serve patients. The building will also house Pediatrics, which is set to open to patients in this new space in February.
“Today, UHS celebrates not just the opening of a renovated clinical space, but a milestone in our commitment to expanding access to care, right here in our community,” said UHS President and CEO John M. Carrigg.
With this expansion, the UHS Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation practice previously located at 91 Chenango Bridge Road has relocated to Upper Front Street, with the UHS Pediatrics practice at the same location set to follow in February. This transition allows these practices to serve their patients in a modernized clinical space, while improving access and convenience for patients by centralizing services in one facility.
The new Physical Therapy space includes a state-of-the-art performance gym, an innovative offering to help patients with mobility, balance, and overall well-being. This location will also host classes designed to help patients with strength and conditioning and reducing fall risk. You can find a list of classes held at this location at nyuhs.org/classes-events.
