This week, hospitals and healthcare systems across the country celebrate National Hospital Week. From May 10 to 16, this annual observance honors the dedicated healthcare workers who repeatedly rise to the occasion to care for their communities.
During this time, UHS proudly celebrates “Healthcare Week,” extending recognition beyond the walls of our hospitals to include all of those who provide and support an exceptional patient experience across the entire UHS System, including outpatient settings, long-term care, and home-based care.
As the leading healthcare system and largest private employer in the region, UHS remains committed to the continuous improvement of care, positively impacting the health and well-being of our patients and the communities we serve.
That commitment is reflected in our ongoing journey to becoming a High Reliability Organization (HRO), empowering our teams to embed safe, effective behaviors into their daily workflows. This work ensures that we get things right each and every time and brings us closer to achieving zero preventable harm for every patient at UHS.
We continue to make meaningful investments in our infrastructure, our technology, and most of all, our people, so that we can continue to deliver care that is compassionate, innovative, and patient-centered for many years to come, while remaining rooted close to home.
Through every interaction across all UHS sites, each member of our workforce makes a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve – being there for people at their most vulnerable, supporting patients as they heal and recover, and creating healthier communities.
This week, and every week, UHS thanks our providers, staff, and volunteers who make exceptional patient experience a reality.
