UHS Delaware Valley Hospital Imaging Receives Accreditation

September 03, 2025

UHS Delaware Valley Hospital’s (DVH) CT department is proud to announce it was awarded a three-year term of accreditation as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR seal of accreditation is the gold standard for medical imaging facilities and represents the highest level of quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards in patient care and treatment, patient safety, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed.

“The accreditation of our CT department represents our team’s commitment to excellence in delivering high quality care services to our patients,” said Megan Heaphy, Director of Director of Ambulatory, Emergency, Imaging, Walk-in and Security Departments. “We are proud of this achievement and will continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards.”

UHS-DVH recently installed a state-of-the-art CT scanning machine that delivers clearer images, faster results and greater accessibility for patients in Delaware County and surrounding areas. The new CT scanner boasts several advanced features designed to improve patient outcomes and efficiency. It features artificial intelligence-enhanced imaging and a 675-pound weight capacity, allowing for more inclusive care.

This is another step forward in UHS-DVH’s ongoing efforts to serve the region with comprehensive, top-tier care.
