UHS Delaware Valley Hospital (DVH) announced today that Sidney Federal Credit Union (SFCU) has committed $250,000 to the Enhance DVH Capital Campaign, becoming a leadership supporter of the new Medical Neighborhood and sponsoring its Primary Care Wing. The investment represents a significant commitment to expanding access to high-quality healthcare for residents throughout Delaware County and the surrounding region while moving the campaign closer to its $3 million fundraising goal.
The DVH Medical Neighborhood is an approximately 73,000-square-foot expansion designed to strengthen and transform healthcare delivery by bringing together primary care, specialty services, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and other essential services in one patient-centered location. The project will improve access to care, reduce travel burdens for rural residents, and help ensure comprehensive healthcare remains available close to home.
"This remarkable investment is both meaningful and inspiring," said Rolland "Boomer" Bojo, President of UHS-DVH. "Sidney Federal Credit Union has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our communities. Their leadership support of our Primary Care Wing will have a lasting impact on our patients, families, and caregivers for generations to come."
As a member-owned financial cooperative, SFCU has a longstanding commitment to strengthening the communities it serves through investments that improve quality of life and create lasting opportunities. Supporting access to healthcare aligns with the credit union's mission of helping communities thrive by investing in initiatives that make a meaningful difference for local families.
"Healthy communities are built on access to quality healthcare," said Jim Reynolds, President and CEO of Sidney Federal Credit Union. "DVH has been a trusted resource for generations, and we're proud to support a project that will expand access to primary care and other critical health services throughout our region. As a member-owned financial cooperative, our responsibility extends beyond financial services. We believe in investing in the long-term vitality of the communities we serve, and we're honored to partner with UHS to help build a healthier future for our neighbors."
Funds raised through the Enhance DVH Capital Campaign will support the development of the Medical Neighborhood, including expanded primary care services, modern therapy spaces, enhanced behavioral health services, and a welcoming, patient-centered environment designed to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the region.
Sidney Federal Credit Union's leadership commitment represents one of the campaign's cornerstone investments and underscores a shared commitment between SFCU and UHS-DVH to improving the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
