Expanding services through community partnership
UHS is proud to announce the expansion of our partnership with Broome Oncology. In fall 2025, Broome Oncology closed their Riverside Drive practice, relocating to UHS Medical Oncology. This partnership allows us to continue delivering the same high-quality care our patients expect, while expanding into a more comprehensive center for oncology and hematology treatment.
With these changes, we remain deeply committed to keeping high-quality cancer care accessible within our community. UHS Medical Oncology now serves patients from two convenient locations:
- UHS Wilson Square at 30 Harrison Street, Johnson City
- UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Krembs Building (Krembs 6) at 10-42 Mitchell Avenue, Binghamton
To make your appointment as stress-free as possible, both locations also offer complimentary valet parking for patients.
UHS Medical Oncology is always welcoming new patients.During this transition, we continue to see all patients, ensuring there are no interruptions to care. To better accommodate the increased volume of patients being seen at these locations, UHS plans to expand oncology services to the third floor of UHS Wilson Square in early 2026.
This partnership between UHS and Broome Oncology represents a major milestone in UHS' commitment to delivering exceptional, comprehensive healthcare, by bringing together the expertise and resources of two trusted, local practices. For 25 years, Broome Oncology has provided innovative, patient-centered cancer care to Greater Binghamton. With this newly expanded partnership, patients will continue receiving the same personalized attention they have come to expect, now with even greater support and access to care.

Patients of Broome Oncology will continue to be cared for by the same trusted team, including providers, nurses, patient advocates, and staff who have supported patients throughout their cancer journey. This partnership with UHS Medical Oncology offers expanded resources and services to patients, including access to social workers, dietitians, and nurse navigators. These professionals are here to support patients through any stage of their care journey, helping them navigate challenges and ensuring they receive comprehensive, compassionate support.
Broome Oncology is also maintaining its team of in-house financial advocates, who work closely with patients to navigate any financial challenges that may arise during their care journey. At UHS, we believe that fear of a medical bill should never prevent someone from seeking the treatment they need. All oncology patients at UHS will have the opportunity to work with financial advocates to assist with insurance questions, out of pocket costs and financial assistance if needed.
