UHS Trauma & Injury Prevention Car Seat Safety Check Event

UHS Trauma & Injury Prevention is partnering with Broome County Traffic Safety to offer two free community car seat safety check events during Child Passenger Safety Week. Families are invited to meet with Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) who can inspect car seat installations, answer questions, and provide hands-on education to help ensure children are traveling safely.

This event will be held in the UHS Child Care Parking Lot, 619 Main St Johnson City, NY.

What to Expect:

• Free car seat inspections
• Guidance on correct installation and use
• Education on age- and size-appropriate restraint systems
• Opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized recommendations

Our technicians are nationally certified through Safe Kids Worldwide and have completed extensive hands-on training in child passenger safety. Approximately 10 UHS staff members hold this certification and are committed to helping families keep children safe on the road. Whether you're installing a car seat for the first time, transitioning to a new seat, or simply want peace of mind that your child's seat is installed correctly, we encourage you to stop by. No appointment necessary.
