Prescription drug take-back event at UHS Pharmacy Vestal

UHS Pharmacy Vestal, in conjunction with the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and Binghamton University pharmacy students, is hosting a drive-thru prescription drug collection on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event, which falls on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of unused and unwanted prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

All varieties of medication (controlled substances and non-controlled substances, tablets, capsules, liquids, inhalers, creams, etc.) will be accepted. Please do not bring needles or sharps.

Attendees can remain in their vehicle. Pharmacists and pharmacy students will be available to answer questions.
