UHS Sports Medicine Fellow

Caroline J Lee, MD is the UHS 2020-2021 Sports Medicine fellow. She studied Biochemistry at Dartmouth College and then went on to complete a post-bacchelaureate program at Drexel University College of Medicine. She moved to New York to pursue a career in research at Columbia University before changing gears and applying to medical school. Caroline completed medical school at St. George’s  University in 2016 and then went onto do her internship year in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2017. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2020. As the UHS Sports Medicine Fellow, she teaches residents and medical students and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University. 

As a PM&R physician, she enjoys taking care of athletes young and old for a variety of muscular and neurological problems. Dr. Lee has a particular interest in women’s soccer and hopes to continue her career affiliated with a major soccer club in the future. She is also involved in combat sports, fitness, rock climbing, cycling, travelling, food, and music.
