UHS Vestal to be dedicated to Matthew and Mary Ellen Salanger

UHS will hold a dedication ceremony for the UHS Vestal Matthew & Mary Ellen Salanger Outpatient Center at 4417 Vestal Parkway East, starting at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 20.

The dedication is being held in recognition of Mr. and Mrs. Salanger’s outstanding service and contributions to UHS and the community for more than 35 years, and in honor of a generous donation to the UHS Foundation provided this year by the Salangers.

Mr. Salanger’s vision and leadership spearheaded the construction and opening of UHS Vestal, which has recorded more than 1.5 million patient visits since it opened in 2012.  Services available at the site include primary, walk-in and specialty care, as well as pharmacy, lab and imaging.

Mr. Salanger joined UHS in 1985, serving in a number of managerial roles, and was named president and chief executive officer by the UHS Board of Directors in 2007.  He continues to serve UHS today as a member of the UHS board and the board’s executive committee.
