You are safe in our care.

June 09, 2020

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking extra measures to ensure a clean environment and to prevent exposure to germs.

Do not put off seeing your provider for your medical needs. Even if you are staying home and do not have symptoms of COVID-19, you should not neglect any other medical issues you may have.

It is important for you to know that we at UHS are here and ready to serve you.

UHS has instituted changes to our daily practice in our offices in order to ensure the safety of our patients and their families. Things are changing daily and we appreciate your patience as we make the necessary changes in order to keep you, your family and our community safe from contracting an infection. We have put strategies in place, including implementing policies to separate sick visits and well visits to allow more time for cleaning of the office. Our teams have enough personal protective equipment on hand and are specially trained to offer you safe, effective care, with all Coronavirus precautions in place.

Both in person and virtual office visits for primary care and specialty care are available.

If you do come in to one of our offices for a visit with your provider please remember to follow our safety guidelines to keep you and our employees safe:

  • Masks are required to be worn by everyone in our facilities; this includes our staff and patients.
  • Practice social distancing, stay at least six feet away from others.
  • Please maintain a safe distance away from the receptionist window.
  • Use hand sanitizer from one of our convenient dispensers and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water when you can.

Don't Delay Getting Care

It is still VERY IMPORTANT to bring your child under the age of two in for their well child visits. The vaccinations they receive at these visits are very important in protecting them against serious illnesses. Call your primary care provider or your child’s pediatrician with any questions.

If you or a family member are sick, we encourage you to please CALL YOUR PROVIDER FIRST. We have dedicated staff to help answer your questions.

At UHS we are very dedicated to the health and well-being of you and your family. Telehealth at our Virtual Walk-In is also available to help with questions.

And remember, if you are facing a critical, emergency situation, call 911. The teams at our Emergency Departments are trained and prepared to provide you with safe emergency care at all times in spite of the Coronavirus situation. Thank you for choosing UHS.
