UHS training methods featured in U-E weight room
Physical education classes and sports teams at Union-Endicott High School have begun training in the new Tigers' weight room.
Students and student athletes use strength-and-conditioning methods developed and presented by UHS Sports Medicine when they are working out in the fitness facility.
The new room was designed for optimal flow, with plenty of space so that large groups can get high-quality training in a comfortable environment with lots of elbow-room.
New equipment includes barbells, handheld free weights, two functional weight trainers, a push sled and a 75-foot turf strip.
UHS Sports Medicine is proud to work in partnership with U-E and the Tigers in providing a strength-and-conditioning program that helps young athletes stay safe and stay in the game, according to UHS trainer Andrew Long.
