UHS takes part in Pride Month events

June 05, 2018

The UHS HIV Program is taking an active role in Pride Month activities in Broome County.

UHS staff from the program will be in downtown Binghamton on Saturday, June 9, from 2 to 8 p.m., for Pride Palooza, an event of the Binghamton Pride Coalition.

Staff will offer a wide range of information for those attending on the most contemporary methods of HIV prevention and treatment and on health topics of interest to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The HIV Program of UHS Binghamton Primary Care was a sponsor of a Pride Month flag-raising event that took place at Binghamton City Hall June 2.

Scott Rosman, MS, NP-c, AAHIVS, director of the UHS HIV Program, spoke at the event, along with Broome County Executive Jason Garner and Binghamton Mayor Rich David.
