UHS, Lourdes to update visitor policy

UHS and Ascension Lourdes are working together to introduce to our community new hospital visitation policies and practices that are consistent with the New York State Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) June 17, 2020 guidance to hospitals on this matter. 

These new procedures are designed to ensure maximum safety for patients, visitors and staff.    Each NY hospital is required to develop and submit a plan to the New York State Department of Health for review prior to allowing any visitation.   Lourdes and UHS are planning to begin implementing this new policy once the plan is approved.
