Employees honored for 10, 15 years of service
Scores of UHS Hospitals employees were recognized Feb. 9 for having reached milestone service anniversaries of 10 and 15 years.
The February 2018 Service Awards Dinner was held in the grand ballroom of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in downtown Binghamton.
"We gather to honor all of you for your caring, service and commitment to making life better for the people of the Southern Tier," said John Carrigg, president and chief executive officer of UHS, in welcoming the honorees and their managers and guests. "You do that every day, when you bring to your work the personal dedication to excellence that sets UHS apart from many other hospital organizations across upstate New York."
In his remarks, John noted that UHS now employs 6,300 people System-wide, and annually posts over 800,000 physician office visits, peforms 23,000 surgeries and records nearly three million outpatient encounters.
"Those are truly remarkable numbers and speak to the depth and reach of UHS in our region," he said.
John praised the energy and fresh ideas that the 10- and 15-year employees have brought to the organization, adding, "You have a right to take pride in the contributions you have made so far, and to look forward with anticipation to all that you will accomplish in the years ahead."
Each honoree received a pin indicating their 10 or 15 years of service.
