Cutest Baby Contest winners announced

UHS Delaware Valley Hospital has announced the winners of its annual Cutest Baby Contest.

First Place went to # 54; Eli Church, son of Kyra Shew and Mackey Church of Walton. Killian Michael LaTourette, #23, son of Ashley and Joseph LaTourette of Sidney Center took second place; while Hadlee Marie Bowker (#25) daughter of Korey and Kylee Bowker of Walton took third place. Each child receives a savings account at Wayne Bank. $ 2,026.00 was raised during the event and will be used toward the completion of the renovation of the double rooms on the hospital’s medical unit. Upon their completion, all of the medical unit’s patient rooms at Delaware Valley Hospital will have been renovated. The hospital has 7 private rooms with private showers and baths and 4 double rooms.

Hospital staff more than doubled the number of blood pressure checks they normally perform, with 438 checks completed. Staff also offered information about nutrition, physical therapy, radiology, diabetes, medications and the hospital’s pharmacy. At least 100 fair participants enjoyed the new game which tested fairgoers knowledge of what foods were in various food groups.
