Message to the CMH Community

With the increasing numbers of confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the country and as cases continue to crop up in our surrounding communities, it is necessary that we ramp up protective measures. Please understand that the safety and well-being of our residents remains our utmost concern and priority. At this time we are limiting visitors at this facility.

We are following guidelines and recommendations set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) that recommend limitation of visitors except for cases in which a resident is receiving end of life care. In addition to CMS guidelines, we continue to follow The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our building. Therefore, at this time, with the limited exceptions previously noted, we ask that you please not visit our centers.

We understand that visiting with family members is incredibly important both to you and your loved one. Thankfully, current technology offers many other ways to visit and we encourage you to consider connecting by telephone, email, text, Skype, Facebook, or facetime through a smart phone. Our campus is equipped with technology to help facilitate this and social services and activities staff are available and happy to assist in expediting any of these types of visitation.

We continue to follow all recommendations presented by the CDC on prevention steps, including resident and employee screening, following strict handwashing procedures, and employing the universal precautions steps (wearing gowns, gloves, masks, etc.) traditionally employed when interacting with a resident that is sick, or shows signs of sickness. In addition, all staff who interact with residents will be wearing masks. We have also posted updated signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of the current restrictions on visitation.

Despite us not having any cases of COVID-19 currently on, or near our facilities, it is unknown how long we will need to impose such limits on visitation. However, rest assure that we are following CMS and CDC guidelines continuously for updates and guidance. As soon as we are safely able to lift visitation limitations, we will do so and will notify you as such. In the meantime, you may visit our website for the most up-to-date information regarding these restrictions:
