Balance & Vestibular Services

Begin rehabilitation by meeting with a physical therapist who specializes in balance and vestibular care. Your therapist will evaluate your condition and help you discover what’s causing your symptoms. In collaboration with your physician, the therapist will create a personalized treatment plan that may include:

  • Neuromuscular reeducation exercises – Improves impaired movement, balance and coordination
  • Epley maneuver (canalith repositioning); Relieves BPPV or dizziness when you change positions
  • Education about our In Balance home care program for fall prevention
  • Training on assistive devices like canes or walkers
  • Vestibular adaptation exercises in which you gradually move your head or eyes to help your brain and inner ear adapt to certain movements
  • Fall prevention exercises & techniques
