UHS Delaware Valley Hospital screening before allowing entry

March 16, 2020

Beginning Tuesday, March 17 the hospital’s main entrance will be locked and all healthy patients arriving for outpatient lab, imaging or cardiopulmonary testing should use the Emergency Walk-In Entrance.

Staff will greet patients and ask key questions to screen for potential exposure to the COVID 19 virus before letting them proceed.

Patients experiencing any respiratory symptoms are asked to please stay in their car and call before entering either the hospital ER at 607-865-2188 or the appropriate primary care center.  For Walton call 607-865-2400; for Downsville call 607-363-2517 and for Roscoe dial 607-498-4800.

When appropriate, the specimen for the COVID 19 virus test can be collected, while you remain in your car at the main hospital site in Walton.

If you are on the hospital campus and experiencing a life threatening condition, do not hesitate to go to the ED Walk-in Entrance.

After 5 pm, the Emergency Walk-in entrance will be locked, but patients can use the call button to communicate with the staff.

UHS Delaware Valley Hospital has already implemented a No Visitation policy, cancelled the Independent Exercise Program at the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center and the Lung Matters support group until further notice in order to help contain the COVID 19 virus.
