Binghamton General Hospital Transitional Care Unit (TCU) Visitor Restrictions

You and your family’s health, safety and well-being are of utmost importance to us at UHS. In an effort to maintain everyone’s safety and reduce the risk to our patients, providers and staff during COVID-19, we are implementing visitor restrictions.

With the increasing numbers of confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the country, we are currently limiting visitors for the Transitional Care Unit. Our top priority is the safety of our residents and staff, so we are taking this step as a precaution.

Neither the building nor our residents are under an official quarantine at this time. However, medical experts nationwide are asserting that the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to limit exposure.

If there is a medical reason for your need to visit a resident, please call 762-2900. As an alternative, we are equipped for you to videoconference to communicate with your loved one.

We understand this is not going to be an easy or welcome transition. Please know this is to ensure everyone’s safety during this COVID-19 pandemic and to comply with county-wide directives.
