Local folks drop by Walton hospital to say thanks
The Delaware County community is expressing its thanks in many ways to the team at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital for showing grace under pressure and providing outstanding care during the COVID-19 crisis.
People in the area want to encourage and uplift staff during a challenging time for all Americans, including healthcare workers, said Dotti Kruppo, director of Community Relations, UHS Delaware Valley.
Heather Coleman of the Walton area and her daughter Peyton are examples. They stopped by one day to stand in the parking lot holding up thank you signs.
"The entire team of UHS Delaware Valley wishes to thank everyone for the wonderful show of support we have all received from people and organizations throughout our community," Dotti said. "Some are sewing masks, others have donated masks and other personal protective equipment, and still others have donated food for our staff. Many who have donated food have done so by purchasing it from local restaurants, also supporting them through this difficult time."
On behalf of the team at UHS Delaware Valley, Dotti noted: "Words cannot express our gratitude for these messages of encouragement and demonstrations of support. They mean so much to all of us, and it is very uplifting during these uncertain times."
