Living Healthy Workshops

UHS is teaming up with the Rural Health Network for the Living Healthy Workshops.

These FREE workshops will help anyone with one or more long-term health conditions, or anyone who is a caregiver for a person with one or more long-term health condition, learn to make better nutrition and exercise choices, deal with pain and fatigue, sleep better, talk with their doctor and family about their health and set goals and make plans to improve their health and lives.

The workshops will take place on Tuesdays, starting October 8 and continuing until November 12 from 9:30am-12pm at the UHS Stay Healthy Center in the Oakdale Mall.

Not sure this is for you? Join us October 1 from 9am-10am for an introduction to the program.

This program guarantees connections and support, links to community resources and relationships with others who share similar health conditions. That support includes people who have arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain, and stress/anxiety.

To register for the workshops contact Mary Maruscak at 607-692-7669 extension 209. Registration includes Living a Healthy Life book, relaxation CD and healthy snacks.
