Lifesteps® Weight Management Program to be held at Delaware Valley Hospital

The end of summer can be a great time to start making changes in your diet. Would you like to make positive lifestyle changes? Would you like to be able to manage your weight more effectively? If so, United Health Services Delaware Valley Hospital’s Lifesteps® Weight Management program may be a great way to for you to be successful. This evidence-based program will be facilitated by Cathy McLachlan, DVH’s certified dietitian-nutritionist.

The Lifesteps® Weight Management program is for people who are ready to change behaviors that prevent weight loss. It is not like other programs in that it recognizes that people are unique, with different eating and exercise habits, weight loss goals and daily schedules.

Participants tailor the ten-week program to fit their needs. They meet for an hour, once each week, for 10 weeks. The meetings are interactive and participants can share their experiences and learn tips for dealing with weight management and preventing relapses.

Mrs. McLachlan stated, “Delaware Valley Hospital is offering this program again because of the success community members have had with it in the past.” She invited everyone interested to contact her. She will discuss the program, answer your questions and ask about your preference for the weekly sessions to be held. We need a minimum number of participants for this to be an effective program.” Anyone who has completed the program in the past is also welcome to join.
