Trauma Teaching Day draws over 350 EMS professionals

More than 350 representatives from the Southern Tier’s emergency medical community attended UHS’ 30th annual Patrick E. O’Hara, MD, Trauma Teaching Day in Binghamton March 10.  

The one-day conference, designed for physicians, paramedics, emergency medical technicians and other first-responders and clinicians, was held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in downtown Binghamton. 

The conference has been popular with emergency professionals for three decades, drawing big-name speakers and thousands of participants over the years.  

This year’s presenters included former FBI agent James Hamilton, trauma surgeon Dr. Mayur Patel, SUNY professor Dr. Fran Battisti, Vermont EMS expert Dan Batisie, UHS physician Dr. Matthew Bennett and emergency care expert Dr. Michael Dailey.
