Team UHS turns out for ‘Making Strides’

October 22, 2018

More than 400 members of Team UHS supported “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Oct. 21 by donating money, cheering on Striders or stepping out to walk in the annual event.

The walk was held on a crisp Sunday morning at Recreation Park in Binghamton.

The event, presented by the American Cancer Society, raises valuable dollars and public awareness in the battle against breast disease.

Team UHS was one of the major corporate groups to participate in the walk this year.

Whether you’re a breast cancer survivor or have a loved one who is, the disease has touched nearly everyone in some way.

But at the same time, walking, supporting walkers and giving of your time and money can be a way of doing something about it.

“By taking part in Making Strides, you’re helping us make a difference in so many ways, from funding innovative breast cancer research to simply providing a hand to hold,” organizers said this week.
