UHS honored with United Way gold award

United Way Award

On behalf of the UHS team, John Carrigg, president of UHS
Hospitals, accepts a Thomas J. Watson Society gold award from
the United Way's LoriAnne Welch.

UHS has been honored with a special award from the United Way of Broome County.

The Thomas J. Watson Society gold award recognizes support from corporate leadership donors to the United Way's annual campaign.

The gold level recognizes organizations that pledge between $50,000 and $99,999 annually in combined employee and corporate giving.

Named for IBM founder Thomas J. Watson, in honor of his exemplary personal and corporate contributions to life in Broome County, the award underscores the charitable spirit of UHS' team of healers.

John Carrigg, president and chief executive officer of UHS Hospitals, accepted the award on behalf of the UHS family from LoriAnne Welch, interim executive director of the United Way, at the October Leadership Team meeting of UHS Hospitals.
