UHS Delaware Valley Hospital Announces “Lung Matters” Program

June 26, 2017

The “Lung Matters” program is an informal discussion group for patients with pulmonary (lung) conditions, their family and friends, because UHS Delaware Valley staff understand that these conditions can be very stressful for both patients and those they love. The objectives of “Lung Matters’ include offering support and understanding to patients and family members, offering family members readily identifiable resources, providing education in disease management, answering questions, assisting with outside problems resulting from illness, offering information regarding UHS Delaware Valley Hospital’s services and last but not least, offering all of this in a pleasurable atmosphere for easy and comfortable conversation and socialization.

The program will be facilitated by members of the hospital’s cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and services team. The free program will be offered monthly, on the second Friday of the month from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the hospital’s Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation building, on the hospital’s main campus, located at 1 Titus Place, Walton. The first session will be held Friday, July 14.

Registration is not required, but appreciated. For more information or to sign up, please call the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation department at 865-2155 or register online here.
