33 New Doctors Graduate from UHS Residency Program 

Thirty-three doctors have graduated from the UHS Medical Residency Program, with some remaining in the region to begin their medical practices and others joining healthcare organizations elsewhere around the country.

The House Staff Graduation for the Class of 2014 was held at the Binghamton Country Club in Endwell on May 30.

Graduating residents in the Family Medicine Residency are:  Lia Marta Briggs, MD; Nicole Brianna Cerklewich, DO; Marena Euashachai, DO; Michael Todd Federico, DO; Danita Renelsa Fox, MD; Hilary Louise Kerrick, DO; Victor Lee Kim, DO; John R. Leuenberger, DO; and Lynda Tang, DO.  Dr. Briggs will begin her practice in the Oneonta area, and Dr. Federico will join Endwell Family Physicians in Endwell.

Graduates in Internal Medicine are:  Fatima Nisar Chaudhry, MD; Jenna M. Cooley, DO; Zhaneta Dzmitryieva, MD; Spencer Matthew Eisenberg, DO; Samad Siraz Khan, DO; Jerry Pudusseri, DO; Mohamed Said Hassan Shamiya, MD; and David Mina Wisa, MD.  Dr. Eisenberg will begin a geriatric fellowship at UHS Hospitals.

Transitional Year graduates are:  Rose Alapat, MD; Nabeel H. Arastu, MD; Mark A. Caramore, MD; Santhosh M. Cherian, MD; Stanislav Ganzman, MD; Bret Paul Martell, MD; and Preeti H. Sheth, MD. 

Graduates in the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency, with added credential in RRA surgery, are: Adam Daniel Bills, DPM; and Gregory P. Rowe, DPM.

Preliminary Medicine Year graduates are: Irfan Ahmad Khan, MD; and Michael Joseph Verde, MD, DC.

Those graduating from the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship are:  Lilia Cristina Ponton, MD; and Ranjit Yelamanchi, MD. Dr. Ponton will be joining UHS Senior Living at Ideal.

Romulo V. Vasquez, MD, graduated from the Sports Medicine Fellowship, and Varun V. Reddy, MD, from the Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship. Dr. Reddy will join UHS Hospitals as associate director of Neuro-Endovascular Surgery.
