UHS Delaware Valley Hospital Environmental Services staff wins national recognition

Stan Suchy, manager of the UHS Delaware Valley Hospital Environmental Services team was notified that they are being recognized by Crothall Healthcare, a national firm that manages environmental services throughout the UHS system.

Crothall sponsors a national team challenge for each team to achieve high ratings in patient satisfaction surveys conducted by a national survey firm. The patients are asked to score the cleanliness of their room and the friendliness of the housekeeping staff. Tom Racobaldo, President of Crothall Healthcare, notified Suchy that the UHS Delaware Valley team had achieved a score of 95.2 for the fourth quarter of 2015. This was not only the highest score in Stan’s division, but the highest score in the entire Crothall company, which includes over 400 hospitals!

“We always hear compliments about how clean and well cared for our hospital is,” said Paul Summers, President and CEO. “We are lucky to have great people working for us and this recognition of the housekeeping staff is well deserved. Stan really has taken ownership of his role and his leadership has been instrumental in achieving these results.”

UHS is a locally owned, not-for-profit, 916-bed hospital and healthcare system serving Greater Binghamton and surrounding counties.
