UHS Wilson Safe, But Some Offices Closed

Police today are investigating an incident in the area of UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.  It is important to know that UHS patients and staff are safe, and that the UHS Wilson campus and vicinity are safe.  However, certain clinical offices will remain closed for the day, by police order.

Offices that have closed for the day are Cardiology Associates, Southern Tier Imaging, Southern New York NeuroSurgery Center, Southern Tier Surgical Clinic, Broome Oncology, the CyberKnife Center of New York, AccuSite PET/CT Imaging Center, and the UHS Physician Practices in Wilson Square, 30 Harrison St.  Departments in Wilson Place, 52 Harrison St., remain open; these are Pre-Admission Testing, Ambulatory Surgery, Neurological Associates and Pulmonary Services.

It is expected that Harrison and Hudson streets in the area will be closed for the rest of the day, so patients and visitors coming to UHS Wilson should avoid those streets.

UHS is a locally owned, not-for-profit, 916-bed hospital and healthcare system serving Greater Binghamton and surrounding counties. Founded in 1981, UHS provides a full range of medical, surgical, rehabilitative and long-term care services from more than 60 locations around New York’s Southern Tier.
